BEHOLD THE INCOMING PRINCIPAL: MRS. LYDIA AKINOLA

Due to the statutory retirement of the current Principal of the school, Mr. S. O. Kazeem, a new Principal has been posted to replace him with effect from April 18, 2020.

The new Principal is the current Principal of Isale-Eko Junior Grammar School, Mrs. Lydia Akinola.

MY FINAL DISCUSSION WITH THE SSS 3 STUDENTS 2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR

Dateline: 2bd March, 2020.

Today l had what k would rather call a valeditory talk with the present set of final year students in the school.

I was so concerned about their negative, uninspiring and totally condemnable attitude towards their studies and l decided it was time we had a frank, FATHER-CHILDREN TALK.

I believe what l said will definitely have its impact on one or two of the students that sat in front of me for the day and listened to what l wanted to say.

May God continue to guide them aright.

Our Vice Principal (Admin) since January, 2018 Mr. Abdulwahab Babatunde Lawal, has been transferred to King Ado Senior Grammar School, Isale-Eko with effect from 26th November, 2019.

Mr. Lawal was not just a VP in the school, he also taught Government (SSS 1 - 3) and Civic Education (SSS 2 & 3).

He was a sociable, fatherly and accommodating person who showed love and compassion to both the staff and the students.

He will surely be missed in our midst.

We wish him God's care and protection in his new work place.

Inauguration Of Interact Club In The School By The Rotary Club of Lagos Central

On Tuesday 17th March, 2020, the Rotary Club of Lagos Central visited the school for the Inauguration ceremony of the school's INTERACT CLUB.

On hand at the ceremony were two representatives of the club, Rotarian Ademola Ali and another gentleman.

In the election that followed the inauguration ceremony, Sherifat Umar emerged the Pioneer President of the Interact Club of the school.

OUR STUDENTS SING THE NEW EDUCATION DISTRICT 3 ANTHEM

Education District 3, led by Dr. Yinka Ayandele, has composed an anthem to be sang by every stakeholder in the District, especially the students, teachers and the administrators.

Here, the students of Elegbatab Senior High School, Lagos Island, decided to begin the session of the TG/PS's Pep-Talk. 

Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary's Pep Talk With SSS 3 Students Held

Dateline: Thursday 6th February, 2020. School Hall.

A team of subjects experts, led by Mr. Adewale Bamidele, Principal of Boys Senior Academy, visited the school to give the students Pep-Talk as ordered by the TG/PS of Education District 3.

The TG/PS decided to give all the SSS 3 students who are going to sit for the West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE) this year the necessary Pep-Talk with the belief that the students' fear would be alleyed.

Experts in English Language and Mathematics, Mr. Afolabi Fasipe and Mrs. Gaji, respectively, were around to guide the students on how to do their examination without fear of failure.

Mr. Bamidele enlightened the students on the things to do before, during and after the examination.

In all it was not only an engaging period, it was a life preparation for the students, who through the Senior Prefect, expressed their gratitude to the visiting team.

STUDENTS ARE TOLD ABOUT CORONAVIRUS AND LASSA FEVER

On Friday,31st January,2020 our students were told about the Coronavirus disease and LASSA fever in a speech delivered by the Vice Principal, Mr. M. T. Oyekan.

The V. P told the students about the serious nature of the diseases and enjoined them to always keep themselves healthy by maintaining high sense of hygiene both at home and in the school.

He also advised the students to always wash their hands at intervals especially when they visit the toilet.

Students were enjoined to research all about the diseases and report back next week.
